UN's military support against Rwanda Hutu rebels rejected by DRC


The Democratic Republic of Congo has rejected a United Nations offer of support for a military campaign against Rwandan Hutu rebels inside the country. U.N. peacekeepers were due to support an operation against the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda. However, the UN mission, known as MONUSCO, suspended co-peration because two Congolese generals tipped to lead the campaign are accused of human rights abuses.
