Sudan military chief wants 'consensus' on power transition
The leader of Sudan’s military council has told Sky News that former President Omar al-Bashir will not be handed over to the International Criminal Court, where he is wanted over allegations of genocide.
In his first UK broadcast interview, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan did promise an eventual transition to civilian rule.
He is believed to be willing to negotiate with the Sudanese demonstrators and has held impromptu discussions with some of them on the streets.
Sky’s chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay reports from Khartoum.

This military guy seems to be on the right side. I hope his actions reflect his rhetoric.
