Sudan Crisis: How a Military Junta Hijacked Pro-Democracy Protests | The Quint

Sudanese security forces violently removed a protest camp in the capital, Khartoum, on 3 June.

In addition to brutally beating the pro-democracy protesters, government troops also fired on the demonstrators. Early numbers suggest that at least 100 people died during the week, though that number may grow in the coming days.

  6. The message for Sudan is:
Remain out on the streets, keep striking and shouting until this (second) opressive regime steps down, and gives power to the people (freedom, rights and most importantly, free elections).. Never go home, just stay out on the streets, go to the shops (together with all protesters) and look after yourself, never go back home or anywhere alone until you have had your power given back. The whole world recognises you all, keep up the fight!

  7. Sudan ! we sikhs are with you morally. We don’t believe in prayer, although believe in actions. Refrain from the religious activities for now please. Your religion should be your ‘prosperity’ first and ‘peace’ should be your priority.
