Prince Charles salutes Gambia's return to Commonwealth


Prince Charles congratulated Gambia on November 1 for turning its back on “autocratic” rule at home and returning to the Commonwealth fold as he began a nine-day Africa tour.

The West African former British colony rejoined the Commonwealth in February, five years after its now exiled authoritarian former leader Yahya Jammeh pulled Gambia out, dubbing the 54-member group a “neo-colonial institution”.

  1. Hypocrisy of the commonwealth, the didn’t do nothing for The Gambia since the colonial days I don’t know what makes barrow think the UK will help Gambia!!!
