Doctor Returns to Sierra Leone to Improve Health Services
Sierra Leone’s health system has suffered from decades of corruption and the destruction wrought by a long civil war. The few functioning hospitals are under-staffed and short on medical supplies and equipment. Now a new medical center provides high quality services all under one roof. Fid Thompson reports for VOA on Dr. Sylvester Nicol’s vision for healthcare in Sierra Leone in this edition of Making a Difference.
An example for all of us to follow. We are quick to talk about the negative aspects of our country but don’t do much to change it. Blessings to you and your family doc.
