How is it that these 53 afrikan nations could not find the financial resources to build the HQ for the afrikan union. This clearly demonstrate that the majority of these afrikan leaders lack vision and are not self-reliant. "The BEST of a race does NOT live on the patronage and philanthropy of others, but makes an effort to do for itself". (Marcus Garvey). It is lack of leadership with this mindset which is responsible for the slow progress in afrika. "Afrika truly awaits its creation and creators" (HIM Haile Selassie I)
The Chinese built and funded the African Union Headquarters! Even then the Chinese bugged the building with listening devices. Building needs to be torn down and moved out of ‘ethiopia to a new destination. It’s shameful to Africa. Kigali in Rwanda should host it.
